Conplant acquires Compaction Australia

CONPLANT ACQUIRES COMPACTION AUSTRALIA
We’ve expanded our fleet and increased our team with the acquisition of compaction hire specialist, Compaction Australia.

Our purpose is to deliver our customers the most diverse and comprehensive range of compaction solutions across Australia.
Today, our capability to achieve this has significantly increased with the acquisition of Compaction Australia, a leading Queensland based compaction hire specialist.
It’s A Game Changer
Compaction Australia is a proven leader with a great reputation for excellent customer service and quality equipment. Their culture also perfectly matches our strong reputation for delivering reliable compaction products with no-nonsense, specialist advice.
“We’ve known the owners for almost 20 years, and we’ve always respected and admired the way they’ve operated and grown their business,” said Ian Coleman, Conplant Managing Director.  “Through this purchase, we’ve gained some very experienced and dedicated people and as we all know, even quality products struggle to deliver without good people supporting them.  The transaction was a very logical and natural fit for us.”
Our Very Large Fleet Gets Bigger
We’ve also acquired the company’s fleet including high-quality Ammann, Caterpillar and Hamm rollers, low loaders and field service vehicles. This and other mid-term plans will increase our fleet size to 1,000 rollers this year providing us with an even better capacity to meet customer needs.
“The increase in fleet size will provide a more diverse pool of products for major projects and contractor needs, as well as, improve availability,” said Ian.
Minimal Impact, Maximum Compaction
With the acquisition becoming official as of Thursday 1 February 2018, we have been busy merging the two operations aiming for minimal impact to customers.
We’re already operating with the combined support of the two teams at our largest Queensland plant located at Darlington Park Industrial Estate on Peachy Road, Yatala. All fleet and transport is being serviced and delivered from this well run and efficient Conplant facility.
“Compaction Australia customers shouldn’t see any changes, apart from positives ones like having access to more technical know-how and a larger fleet,” said Ian.   “We’re looking forward to growing the combined fleets to better service and support Compaction Australia’s as well as our own customer base.”
