IVECO progresses New Zealand head office build

IVECO is investing heavily in the New Zealand commercial vehicle market, with works well underway on a new multimillion dollar facility in Auckland.
The new site will incorporate the company’s New Zealand head office along with a Dealership offering sales, service and parts for the full IVECO range of vans, trucks and minibuses.
Covering an expansive site of 11,444m², the facility also includes 1400m² warehouse to provide local IVECO customers with greater parts coverage, while the introduction of a new state-of-the-art service area with 10 truck bays will also benefit customers by reducing servicing times.
Other features of the new headquarters include truck wash facilities, vehicle showroom and a well-appointed customer lounge.
In commenting on the build, IVECO Australia Business Director, Bruce Healy, said the company saw many ongoing opportunities in New Zealand and was keen to invest in the market.
“IVECO has enjoyed multi-digit sales growth in New Zealand in recent years and we recognise the importance of continued investment in New Zealand,” Mr Healy said.
“Increasingly New Zealanders are trusting IVECO to handle a greater range of their transport and logistics needs, so we are working hard to repay this trust by providing them with the best services and facilities possible.
“The new site will not only go a long way to delivering a superior service to customers and prospects in the greater Auckland area but also more broadly right across the country, particularly in terms of our ability to increase local parts holdings for faster distribution to customers,” he said.
The new home of IVECO New Zealand is expected to be complete by 1 October 2018, and when operational will employ approximately 45 people.
