During last Mining Indonesia event, Volvo unveiled its latest electric machine—the L120 Electric wheel loader. This marks their third electric machine introduced to the Indonesian market, following previous successful launches of the ECR25 Electric compact excavator and the L25 Electric compact wheel loader.
The L120 Electric was officially introduced during a ceremony at Mining Indonesia in Jakarta (Sep 11-14), held in partnership with Volvo, PT Indotruck Utama. The event was attended by customers and industry stakeholders.
L120 Electric
The L120 Electric is the largest electric wheel loader Volvo has brought to Indonesia, catering to multiple sectors like mining, construction, waste management, and more. It delivers the same performance as its diesel counterpart but with zero emissions and quieter operation. L120 electric enhances machine autonomy and efficiency while managing loads up to 6 tons. The L120 Electric significantly lowers energy and maintenance costs by up to 30%, providing increased uptime and better productivity. The L120 Electric will be commercially available starting in Q1 2025, with further electric machine launches planned for Indonesia.
