“We are delighted to announce Stirnimann as our exclusive Potain dealer in Denmark. The extensive history of our relationship with Stirnimann has seen many successes and we have developed an excellent partnership. We are convinced that this is a very good opportunity for both companies. The combination of Stirnimann’s experience and advanced Potain products positions us well to further develop our presence in the Danish market,” said Christophe Simoncelli, senior vice-president for Tower Cranes Europe at Manitowoc.

Stirnimann owns a fleet of more than 400 rental cranes and has been the exclusive dealer for Potain cranes in Switzerland since 1986. The dealer’s footprint and success in Switzerland and Austria, its excellent reputation in the crane industry, and its knowledge of the whole Potain range will be key factors for its development and support of Potain customers in its new territories.

Stirnimann will distribute the Potain top-slewing range and the self-erecting range, as well as promoting all other Potain service activities, including rental, spare parts and aftersales.

Stirnimann board member Fritz Oschwald said: “We will invest all our energy and know-how to build sustainable and collaborative relationships with our valued Danish customers.”

Founded in 1915, Stirnimann is a leading supplier of building equipment and heavy machinery for the construction market. It operates across Switzerland and Austria.  It is a comprehensive end-to-end lifting solutions provider, offering sales and service for new and used Potain cranes. It also runs a large rental fleet of self-erecting and top-slewing tower cranes.
