Four Grove GMK4100L cranes for PT SH Machinery Indonesia

PT SH Machinery Indonesia, the dealer for Grove all-terrain cranes in Indonesia, has ordered four GMK4100L cranes to add to its stock. The GMK4100L cranes will arrive in the first quarter of 2019 and PT SH Machinery Indonesia is confident they will prove popular. In 2017, the company delivered several of the long-boom all-terrain cranes.
Tan Cheng Guan, executive director of PT SH’s Singapore-based parent company Sin Heng Heavy Machinery, ordered the cranes during a visit by senior Manitowoc executives. He praised the cranes’ suitability for the Indonesian market.
“Grove cranes are easier to maneuver and set up thanks to features such as their Megatrak suspension and Megaform boom, with its Twin-Lock pinning system,” he said. “This makes them particularly well-suited to Indonesia’s fast-growing economy with its increasingly congested cities.”
Brian Wang, senior vice president, APAC, led the group of Manitowoc executives during the meeting with Sin Heng. He was joined by Aaron Ravenscroft, executive vice president for cranes; Marco Zucchet, sales director for mobile and tower cranes, Asia; and Leonard Siow, regional sales manager for mobile and crawler cranes, Asia.
“PT SH is an important partner for us,” said Wang. “We are pleased the company is developing its fleet of long-boom cranes for trading in Indonesia and Singapore. The company’s commitment to Grove cranes is a testament to the quality of our machines and the trust our customers have in them.”
As the dealer for Grove all-terrain cranes in Indonesia, PT SH Machinery Indonesia maintains a team of technicians who are trained and certified by Manitowoc under its industry-leading Crane Care support program. The intensive training and certification process that technicians undergo ensures they have the expertise and experience to handle repair and maintenance issues. In addition, PT SH Machinery Indonesia has invested heavily in its stock of spare parts, reducing wait times for customers and ensuring service levels meet customer expectations.
The GMK4100L has a 100 t maximum capacity and 60 m Twin-Lock boom on a compact four-axle carrier. Its maximum tip height can extend to 85 m through the addition of jib attachments and the crane also features the latest ergonomic GMK chassis cab.
