- Reality capture solutions to create precise digital twins of construction sites using detailed terrain data to optimize planning, design and as-built reporting.
- Construction insights to transform your construction data into actionable knowledge with digital twins and AI-driven insights for better decision-making.
Kobelco K-DIVE remote operation system powered by Leica Geosystems and Xwatch
The K-DIVE demonstration will take place at Kobelco’s booth (FN.1016/1), where Leica Geosystems and Xwatch technologies will showcase their advanced remote operation technology. Two distinct sites in Denmark and Japan will be live-connected to remotely operate excavators in real time.
Xwatch launches MK2
The new system is simpler, more intuitive and easier to adopt compared to its predecessor MK1. With installation taking 30% less time, the new system is even more adaptable and user-friendly, reducing downtime for plant hire companies and contractors.
The solution retains all the capabilities of MK1, including height and slew restriction, Rated Capacity Indicator (RCI), and the full suite of Xwatch safety features across the XW1, XW2, XW3, XW4, and XW5 models.
New enhancements include revolutionary proportional motion control when driving electric over hydraulic valve blocks (pat. pending), a significant breakthrough in precision and efficiency. Graphics have been completely reworked, creating a more visually friendly and intuitive monitor interface in various languages. MK2 is telematics-ready for connected construction sites and is more compact, freeing up in-cab space.

Due to Xwatch’s long-term OEM machine integration strategy, it is built to be compatible with various OEM displays, minimizing the need for additional hardware in the cab and ensuring seamless integration for manufacturers adopting the system.
“The MK2 system is designed to meet the evolving demands of the heavy construction industry by enhancing safety, boosting operational efficiency and minimizing disruption. As the industry embraces digital transformation and sustainable practices, the MK2 sets a new standard in intelligent safety solutions, ensuring that our customers are equipped with future-ready technology that adapts to their changing needs.”
said Dan Leaney, Xwatch Sales Director.
MK2 will also be on demo on the Hitachi stand (FN.716).
