Under the motto “Meet the Future”, Wacker Neuson presented itself in Bauma 2022 at booth FN.915 along with the affiliated brand Kramer. The motto reflects the focus of the presence in the trade fair: The focus is clearly on personal exchange with visitors. However, “Meet the Future” also emphasizes that future topics such as electrification and digitalization play a major role.
All zero emission innovations at a glance
In the construction equipment sector, Wacker Neuson is unveiling an innovation at Bauma: the first battery-powered reversible vibratory plate with direct drive on the market, APU3050e. The DireX direct drive developed by Wacker Neuson ensures greater efficiency. A real trade show first is the electric RD28e roller, which is powered by a tried-and-tested lithium-ion battery. Making its debut at Bauma is Wacker Neuson’s first electric telehandler: TH412e.
It impresses with its lifting height at the hinge pin height of 4.5 meters and is a useful addition to the zero emission portfolio. Its compact design enables it to work in confined spaces without local emissions. In addition, the third generation of the WL20e E-wheel loader with a powerful lithium-ion battery will be unveiled at Bauma. Also new: a charging box as a power bank for the construction site. The mobile energy storage unit enables on-site energy supply. With Operate Lease – a financing solution for zero emission compact equipment – Wacker Neuson is making it easier for its customers to “#switchtogreen“.
ECO Lease for compact machines
With Wacker Neuson’s zero emission portfolio, an entire inner-city construction site can now be run without local emissions. But electrification is not possible or practical for every machine and application. With the new ECO Lease financing offer for the ET42, EZ50, and ET58 excavators and the WL28, WL44, and WL52 wheel loaders, CO2 emissions during operation are offset via financing. Another example of carbon neutrality is a pilot project that will be launched in Switzerland in 2023: Wacker Neuson will be converting its own rental fleets there to a completely carbon-neutral rental fleet in the future.
EW100: a new era of wheeled excavators
The Wacker Neuson EW100 wheeled excavator is unique in its class and sets new benchmarks. The construction site 4.0 was in focus while developing the machine: An intelligent Attachment Management, a well thought-out Human-Machine-Interface, and the preparation for diverse assistance systems and interfaces are just a few examples. When changing attachments via the 10-inch display, the machine assists the operator.
For example, it automatically adjusts the machine dynamics to the attached tool. In addition, the excavator excels in the area of safety thanks to good visibility and a high level of stability, even when rotating 360 degrees with a raised load. Furthermore, the development of the excavator focused on user-friendliness and efficiency: Thus, thanks to the powerful drive hydraulics and the high basic work performance, the EW100 can also be used to complete tasks which would otherwise require a 14-ton excavator.
New Dual View Dumper DV45
The Dual View dumper’s innovative concept, in which the control panel can be rotated 180 degrees, has already proven itself on the market. Depending on requirements, the operator can look in the operating or travel direction and has an unobstructed view in each case. For the first time at Bauma, Wacker Neuson will be showcasing the new DV45 Dual View Dumper, which features several innovative new features.
The electro-hydraulically rotatable cab can now be rotated 180 degrees forwards and backwards and 90 degrees to the side at the touch of a button on the joystick. In this “Multi View” mode, the DV45 can also be driven with the cab turned sideways. With the automatic skip return, the skip is returned to the starting position at the push of a button. Additional safety features include the hill-hold function, tilt monitoring, and seat belt monitoring with optional start release.
EquipCare Pro: Working efficiently and keeping track of things
With the cloud-based software solution EquipCare Pro, Wacker Neuson makes it possible for its customers to manage, plan, and evaluate all machines, equipment, and bulk materials regardless of the manufacturer or brand and thus increase the productivity of their machinery.
In addition to the benefits of Wacker Neuson’s familiar EquipCare telematics solution, such as real-time information on operating hours or machine location, fleet management, and management of maintenance and inspection appointments, EquipCare Pro enables customers to plan the deployment of equipment and personnel and manage everything used on the construction site – from excavators to the vehicle fleet and construction fences.
ConcreTec: simple, transparent and consolidate reproducibly.
The new ConcreTec assistance system for concrete compaction makes it possible to consolidate concrete elements easily, transparently, and with reproducible high quality. The data-based assistance system provides the system operator with objective information on the consolidation process and real time information related to the progress of consolidation. In addition, information about the current process variables, such as vibration strength and frequency, is incorporated into the model during the compaction process. The result: a consolidation result, which does not depend on persons and is thus of consistent quality.
