From January 18 to 20, Las Vegas has become the stage for the latest edition of the World of Concrete trade show, the most important event in the concrete sector in the US. During this exhibition, AUSA had a notable presence, displaying some of its outstanding dumpers and rough terrain forklifts, as well as its AUSAnow fleet manager. On that occasion, we had had the pleasure to interview Juan Urkijo, AUSA Commercial Director who introduced us to AUSA latest technology, AUSAnow.
AUSA displayed five of its compact all-terrain industrial vehicle models in its exhibition space: In the terms of dumpers, AUSA exhibited the D601APG with a 13,200 lb payload and a swing skip. Equipped with a digital screen with integrated self-diagnostics, allowing you to see all of the vehicle’s real-time information and minimize downtime. The D350AHG with a 7,700 lb payload and a swing skip, suitable for medium-sized earthmoving jobs, for both public and municipal works, and the D150AHG, a compact dumper with a 3,300 lb payload that is suitable for small spaces.
“For yet another year, we have displayed our products at the concrete sector’s leading trade fair, making this the fifth consecutive show that we have attended. This highlight’s AUSA’s strong strategy in the US market, where we are continuing to grow and increase our market share thanks to the extremely hard work that we have been doing in recent years. The dumper, for example, is a relatively new product in the United States, but an increasing number of professionals are showing an interest in it and they associate it with our brand. All of the customers who have tried this type of machine can truly see the potential it has on their businesses.”
, remarked Ignasi Moner, CEO of AUSA US Corp.
As for rough terrain forklifts, they displayed the C501H, the largest in AUSA’s range, with a 11,000 lb payload and a maximum lift of 17.88 feet, equipped with major technological advances that give it the very best all-terrain traction, providing excellent efficiency and a great return on investment. Additionally, the C150H was also displayed, the brand’s smallest model with a 3,000 lb payload and a 13.12-feet reach.
The US market responded in an extremely positive way to AUSA products. According to Juan Urkijo, AUSA Commercial Director,
“It is always a pleasure to be an exhibitor at World of Concrete. In fact, this edition makes the fifth consecutive show that we have attended, which highlights our believe this is an essential event for any professional from the concrete or construction sectors. Due to the current health circumstances, this edition might have not been the most crowded, however the visitors had a clear idea what they were looking for and they have showed great interest in the products. On our side, although we have displayed many dumpers and rough terrain forklifts, our newest product was the AUSAnow tool, which has had much interest from the visitors and current clients since with this service we can cover a demand for machines’ data that can help professionals to improve their efficiency and profitability on their businesses.”
AUSA in fact, also seized the opportunity to present AUSAnow to industry professionals in the US.
Juan Urkijo, AUSA Commercial Director has explained us in detail:
“AUSAnow is a fleet manager for the owners of AUSA machines. With this new service, the owners have at their disposal a tool to improve their efficiency and profitability by using their mobile phones or computers. On one side, they can have the full control of the machines wherever they are as the information is stored in the cloud. Thanks to all the data received, the owner can obtain real-time information and make decisions to improve his business. This new system allows any user to view and create their own personalized charts, to obtain in-depth information about the operation of their machines and make decisions that are based on detailed information. Plus, AUSAnow has also been developed with the security of the machines in mind: the tool allows the user to create a geofence and establish a schedule and security perimeter. If the machine goes outside the boundaries, the user will be informed immediately so that they can deal with it.”
This new software allows real-time information to be sent about maintenance requirements, technical problems and performance issues and any unexpected movement of machines.
“AUSAnow can easily be installed on any AUSA dumper, rough terrain forklift or telehandler. Even if the machines are already on the owner’s property, this tool can be quickly retrofitted on all machines produced from 2020 so he can start getting all the information needed to improve the business.”
Urkijo continues.
All with the aim of ensuring that the AUSA vehicle’s owner or end customer can get the most out of it and reduce downtime by being able to anticipate any requirements.
Not only for the current year but also in the forthcomings, AUSA will keep consolidating in the North American market, where they currently have 86 points of sale through a network of great partners that offer the best service and support to the end customers.
“Regarding our products” Urkijo concludes “we want to keep expanding the dumper awareness in the country. Here it is a relatively new product, but an increasing number of professionals are showing an interest in it, and they associate it with our brand. On the rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers side, we have a great potential to grow, especially in the agriculture sector, where these vehicles fit perfectly due to their compact sizes and performance. There we are currently covering a requirement that was not suited before and the feedback from our clients is being very positive.”
