The route towards a renewable future has been plotted and will go through Rimini. From 26th to 29th October, at Italian Exhibition Group´s (IEG) Rimini Expo Centre, Key Energy will be back in physical form and, together with Ecomondo, will be offering a complete overview of the supply chain, with a thousand brands on show and an area occupancy set to reach 90% of 2019 levels.
Key Energy will be inaugurated by the presentation of a study commissioned from Milan Polytechnic´s Energy Strategy Group: an opportunity to shed light on opportunities linked to European funds that Italy must be able to take advantage of and on policies to encourage the ´green´ transition. In the many initiatives organised by the scientific committee, chaired by Professor Gianni Silvestrini, there will also be discussions on new developments, from off-shore wind energy to agro-photovoltaics, from energy communities to hydrogen, with an overview of possible applications in the most energy-intensive industrial sectors, and climate change mitigation strategies. A new feature at this edition will be the large exhibition area dedicated to E-mobility as well as a study organized by Motus-E and Vaielettrico with Ferrara University, which will provide a complete picture of the state-of-the-art of electric and sustainable mobility in Italy.
How cities change: the ‘Sustainable City’ project
Cities are changing radically, driven by widespread digitisation in every sphere of life and a need for urban regeneration that takes climate change into account. Topics such as smart lighting or sharing mobility are areas in which Public Administrations are investing to redevelop public spaces and redesign mobility. This idea of an urban future is the focus of ´Sustainable City´, Key Energy´s project specifically for the cities of the future. The event, which returns for this edition in its own hall (D6), boasts Ancitel Energia e Ambiente and the Borghi più belli d´Italia association as partners, with whom business meetings between companies and public administrations will be organised in a special lounge. Foreign municipalities from Bosnia, Argentina and the Ivory Coast will also be in attendance in Rimini. Another of the event´s main partners is AIDI, the Italian Lighting Association, which is organising a series of workshops entitled ´Light Meetings´ in order to illustrate how innovation and new technologies are changing the way light is perceived and used in our cities.
At the Show, business in total safety
Visiting Rimini Exhibition Centre will be extremely safe: all those attending the shows are required to exhibit a Green Pass (certifying that they have either been vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19), have their temperature checked and wear a face mask. Anyone not in possession of a Green Pass will need to present a negative swab result. Other measures implemented in compliance with IEG´s #Safebusiness protocol and GBAC STAR certification that allow visitors, exhibitors and operators to enjoy a peaceful stay at the exhibition include: compulsory use of a face mask, temperature measurement at the entrance and hand sanitizer gel dispensers available in all exhibition areas.
