Hiab has received an order for 300 Hiab loader cranes with HiConnect and installations from Chausson Matériaux in France. The order value for 150 cranes was booked in Cargotec’s Q2 order intake while 150 cranes were booked in Q1.
Chausson Matériaux is a family business, managed by Pierre-Georges Chausson, with 5,800 employees. The builders merchant offers structural, framing and roofing, plastering, insulation materials as well as tiling and flooring. At the beginning of 2021, Chausson Matériaux acquired Bois & Matériaux including the Réseau Pro brand, and now has close to 480 sales outlets throughout France.
All of the loader cranes ordered are in the mid-capacity range with the advanced Hiab HiPro remote control. The majority of the models in the order are Hiab X-HiPro 192 and Hiab X-HiPro 232 with Semi-Automatic Folding (SAF), but it also includes Hiab X-HiPro 262/302/352. All of the cranes are to be installed on Mercedes trucks and almost half will be used to renew the Réseau Pro fleet.
“The Hiab cranes’ features have a significant impact on productivity and provide more services to our customers, not to forget the operators’ satisfaction,” says Pierre-Georges Chausson, CEO. He also emphasises that: “Customers demand that we deliver materials as close as possible to their construction site, the more powerful the crane, the better we can meet their requirements. The right equipment allows us to make a real difference compared to our competitors.”
“Hiab with one our prefered partners Sérignac in Toulouse have proudly supplied loader cranes to Chausson Matériaux for several years and we are grateful that they continue to be loyal to us and our technology. Our Hiab X-HiPro loader cranes offer ease of use as well as high speed performance and reliability in delivering both high cost and heavy items,” says Vincent Dutériez, Director, Sales & Services, France, Hiab.
