FITT Company Launches FITT Force The New Garden Hose For Intensive Use

FITT Force is the garden new hose for intensive use by FITT conceived with innovation and sustainability in mind.

The new garden hose for intensive and professional use, already winner of the iF Design Award, is the result of FITT’s environmentally friendly approach and brings together the three main principles of eco-design: reduction, reuse, recycle.

FITT, international leading group established in Italy in 1969 and pioneer in the production and development of solutions with high innovative content for the transfer of liquids for domestic, professional and industrial use, launches in Europe FITT Force, the new strong and light hose for intensive use. Feeding on its own experience of over 50 years in the production of hoses, innovation drive and the capability of listening to the needs of end users, FITT follows the light and compact trend and comes up with FITT Force, the stronger but lighter garden hose for intensive use.

FITT Force

FITT Force is made using an innovative thermoplastic rubber (TPV) that allows to use 50% less raw materials than normally used in the production of PVC hoses, becoming 3 times more compact and 2 times lighter than the garden hoses currently found on the market. TPV brings together the characteristics of vulcanised rubber (flexibility at extreme temperatures, between -40°C and +80°C, and high mechanical properties) and the ease of processing and recycling of thermoplastic materials, making the hose easy to handle and highly flexible.

The NTS technology – introduced by FITT during the 90’ and considered today a universally recognised standard -, which prevents the formation of knots and twists, and guarantees constant water flow, is joined in FITT Force by the HD-TECH technology, offering high abrasion and puncture resistance. FITT Force is flat and compact when stored away, but thanks to the pressure of water takes on the classic round garden hose shape when in use. When the water flow stops, FITT Force returns to its original shape: compact, easy to handle and store. 

FITT Force comes with FITT Ready, an elegant and modern kit, result of the collaboration with Centro Stile MOMODESIGN, consisting of multi-jet spray gun with flow modulator and ergonomic handle– covered with soft rubber for easy and safe grip even with wet hands -, and extremely high quality thermoplastic material fittings.
The quick fittings, recyclable and replaceable in two quick moves, have a highly efficient compression system that prevents dripping and accidental water leaks, therefore also making the hose ideal for indoor uses, such as inside greenhouses and garages. As the fittings can be removed with ease, they can also be replaced very easily, therefore contributing to increasing the useful life of the hose. Moreover, at the end of their life cycles, both the fittings and the hose can be disposed of in the correct way, promoting correct recycling and recovery of the raw material.

Strength, compactness and innovation also in the packaging: FITT Force is in fact supplied inside a purposely made octagonal recycled cardboard box.
The side openings of the packaging make it possible for potential buyers to touch and feel the composition and the high quality of the FITT Force materials right at the point of sale, while the front opening houses the multifunction spray gun.
The design of the packaging offers an initial touch and feel experience, thanks to the side and front openings, and the strong lifting and transport handle fully meets the requirements of the practical grab and go approach.
The compactness of FITT Force is also a big plus in terms of logistics: the storage of the new product requires 50% less space in the warehouse, on the shelf and inside the transport vehicle.

The innovation of materials, technology, functionality and design of FITT Force also won over the iF International Forum Design, the oldest independent design body in the world based in Hannover. The revolutionary FITT garden hose was in fact awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD in the “Garden Products” category.
Thanks to its perfect combination of design, performance and ease of use, FITT Force was selected by a panel of 78 experts from all over the world as the winner among a total of 7,298 entries from 56 countries.
