Efficient and productive in narrow spaces
Wacker Neuson impresses with compact yet powerful machines in a wide range of applications. Whether for gardening and landscaping, building and civil engineering or in municipalities – with the telehandlers and wheel loaders, material can be efficiently transported, lifted and loaded. With both new machines, the telehandler TH412 and the wheel loader WL28, Wacker Neuson brings two optimized all-rounders to the market.
The time-tested and proven and now completely reworked telehandler TH412, with 1.25 metric tons of payload and a stacking height of four meters, is the most compact model by Wacker Neuson in the telehandler range. The combination of compact dimensions and efficiency output makes it ideal for demanding tasks. The new wheel loader WL28 is impressive as a flexibly deployable transport helper with a high tipping load and even more comfort and safety. Both machines have, as standard, engines meeting exhaust emissions standard stage V. In addition, with optional, more powerful engines, they are optimally suitable for pro applications taking many operating hours, scoring points with the most modern technology on board.
Comfortable cabin – optimal all-round visibility
From the first glance, the new design of both machines catches the eye. Here, form follows function as, for both machines, great importance was placed on making work as pleasant and easy as possible for operators. For this reason, the cabins have been generously designed for comfort while at the same time maintaining the compact dimensions. The operator’s controls are clearly and ergonomically arranged to allow particularly efficient and fatigue-free work. On the telehandler TH412, features such as the armrest with integrated stowage compartment, sun blind and optimized heater and ventilation make working even more comfortable. The cabin’s modern 4-column design and the panoramic rear window in the wheel loader WL28 likewise provide an optimized overview. Moreover, the cabin is designed to reduce vibrations and noise, which ensures more operating comfort and makes the operator’s work easier.Â
Various drive modes for high economic efficiency
Efficiency and flexibility – great importance was placed on these in reworking both the TH412 and WL28 models. These, among other things, are ensured by the electronically regulated drive system with various drive modes. Auto and ECO mode are standard: The auto mode provides the usual 100 percent performance of the machine. In ECO mode, the engine speed is reduced when the travel speed set in advance by the operator is reached, raising the operator’s comfort level. In addition, this saves fuel and minimizes the noise created. On the one hand, this results in cost advantages in the maintenance of the machines, and on the other, less disturbance for persons in the construction site area. A further drive mode can also be optionally selected: In attachment mode, the machine keeps the hydraulic flow volume on the attachment always constant – even with changing loads. This way, the speed of the attachment always stays the same, which makes the sequence of operations smoother and raises the level of safety. This is particularly advantageous when working with mulchers or snow blowers. In the M-drive mode, the engine speed can be given with the manual throttle and the travel speed regulated with the gas pedal. Thus, it is ideally suited for performing Y-loading cycles. Also, both machines score points with an electric parking brake with hill-hold function: The machine comes to a standstill if the operator’s seat is vacated, the machine is idle, or the travel direction is put in neutral. This way, the wheel loader cannotroll away, making the entire construction site environment even safer.
TH412: Vertical Lift System for higher productivity and safety
Like all telehandlers by Wacker Neuson, the TH412 model is equipped with the innovative Vertical Lift System (VLS) operator assistance system. The system prevents the machine from tipping over in the longitudinal direction due to overload, without affecting the operating speed. Where other systems interrupt the working cycle by switching off the hydraulic function, VLS allows for safe and smooth sequences of operations even under high payloads. This is made possible through a uniform and rapid lifting and lowering of the telescopic arm at the same time as a partial automation of the telescopic movement. This function ensures not only more safety on the construction site, but also more efficiency. VLS also makes working easier, faster, and more comfortable for the operator.Â
WL28: Particularly safe – particularly stable
The 3-metric ton wheel loader WL28 combines compact dimensions and maneuverability with high performance: The low front carriage and the well-balanced weight of the machine allow a high tipping load of 1.6 metric ton with pallet fork (machine straight). Thus, even transporting a pallet with sett pavings is no problem. The wheel loader is outfitted with a tiltable operator’s cab or a tiltable cabin. This allows easy access to the engine, hydraulic system, and electronics. This makes inspection and maintenance of the machine very easy. The engine hood can be opened widely, thereby allowing for optimal access.
