The Australian company Norwest Crane Hire recently invested in two new cranes: an LTM 1300-6.2 and an LRT 1100-2.1 from Liebherr. The 100-tonne rough-terrain crane is the first of its type anywhere in Australia.
Bernie Johnson, Managing Director at Norwest Crane Hire, has been counting on equipment from Liebherr for more than twenty years.
“It’s important to me to offer my customers reliable cranes and to have a service partner I can rely on. Which is why we have nothing but high-quality machines in our fleet.”
With the two new cranes, an LTM 1300-6.2 and an LRT 1100-2.1, the company now has a total of 18 Liebherr cranes.
As soon as the LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain crane arrived, Norwest Crane Hire dispatched it to a construction site in the Pilbara, Western Australia. The first delivered crane of its type in Australia completed its first work assignments there.
“It’s exciting to have the first crane of this type with us on site. The LRT 1100-2.1 offers a huge degree of flexibility in the field,”
reports Bernie Johnson on his experiences with the Liebherr rough-terrain crane. The 100-tonner represents a major expansion of the company’s deployment options in the Pilbara.
Rough-terrain cranes from Liebherr are especially safe, simple, and convenient to operate. The LRT 1100-2.1 offers a maximum load capacity of 100 tonnes and a strong telescopic jib with a total length of 50 meters. The VarioBase variable supporting base boosts flexibility on the construction site, as the crane can also be safely used in confined areas. The system also increases the crane’s lifting capacity.
The company Norwest Crane Hire, part of the Norwest Group, has the youngest crane fleet in the Pilbara. The company places a lot of importance on a high degree of safety in everyday work. In-house employees trained on Liebherr equipment continuously carry out maintenance and service tasks and keep the modern and powerful fleet of cranes ready for use.
