Kennards Hire has expanded its network in regional New South Wales with the opening of a new branch in Byron Bay. The family-owned business is now offering their reliable equipment and customer service to local DIYers and tradies across the Byron Shire. The new branch, which brings the Kennards Hire branch network to 52 locations across NSW, comes following the acquisition of long standing Byron Hire.
With a boost in construction, renovation and home improvement in the shire, the demand for equipment across the Shire has been steadily growing. The new Byron Bay branch will offer a range of equipment never seen before in the area, meaning finding the right tools for all your projects, ranging from home DIY to construction and even larger civil jobs, just got much easier.
Steve Kennedy, who has been managing the site for the past 11 years, will remain as the Branch Manager. He is excited about the change and the investment in new product ranges in order to service customers even better.
Made up of former Byron Hire employees and locals to the shire, the Kennards Hire team consists of Eamon Thompson, Garrett Weir, Patrick Stanton, Sam Tingle and Wayne Male. Along with Branch Manager, Steve Kennedy, the team of six have nearly 25 years of combined experience in the equipment hire industry. Not only will the team here in Byron Bay be able to help out with any sized project, the same long standing customer service value of locals looking after locals will be strengthened.
“Kennards Hire is family-owned company and has been around since 1948. Our values are anchored in community and a ‘One Family’ sentiment, which aligns well with the Byron way of life. We’re always looking to support the local community and will continue to donate some equipment to local schools and their events, and continue our sponsorship of local sporting teams, the SLSC and the Lighthouse Run,” said Steve.
“Kennards Hire will deliver the same level of expertise of local employees supporting local businesses, tradies and DIYers and will maintain the high level of customer service we are known for. In fact, it feels like Christmas with the 6-figure boost in hire equipment which means we’ve got what it takes to meet growing local demand.”
