Hiab, part of Cargotec, will present its pioneering product offering and connected solutions at this year’s Internationale Automobil Ausstellung (IAA) 20-27 September 2018 in Hannover, Germany and welcomes customers, media, and the public to its pavilion P35 and outdoor area FG L66. Â
Over the past years, Hiab has accelerated the renewal of its class-leading load handling equipment offering, enhanced the service offering, and its sales/service network. Hiab has spearheaded the market with services like the comprehensive Hiab ProCare(TM), and connected solutions like the award winning HiVision(TM) Â and HiConnect(TM). With HiConnect, Hiab adds value with connectivity to its market-leading load handling equipment as an enabler for providing critical insights that will help customers unlock value in their businesses. The solution has been successfully piloted with customers in test markets, and is now being commercially rolled out with an initial focus on larger Hiab fleet customers.
In 2016, Hiab presented the first in the industry HiVision, a revolutionary new system for operating cranes that became a game changer in load handling. Only two years later, Hiab has sold cranes equipped with HiVision in over 10 countries and received several innovation prizes. At IAA, Hiab introduces a Remote service for HiVision allowing the technicians to perform software upgrades and maintenance from a distance. We also offer the exhibition audience the opportunity to test HiVision with a simulator.
Hiab’s focus in Hannover will be to demonstrate how its total solutions help serve its customers and address their business challenges today and tomorrow. Among the new range Hiab, for the first time at an international event, will show its renewed HIAB light range of loader cranes and the world premier of its upcoming renewal of the MULTILIFT big hooklifts portfolio. Also in the new range are the dedicated HIAB building materials cranes, the HIAB bucket kit with Bucket cradle and Rapid Lock System, and the new to market MULTILIFT Commander container handling unit. Â
The MOFFETT NX truck mounted forklift series, with the newest addition the MOFFETT M5 NX, and Hiab’s tail lifts under brands ZEPRO and DEL, will be on show at the exhibition. From forestry and recycling cranes Hiab will present the upgraded JONSERED 1620RZ recycling crane for heavy-duty recycling.
Solutions such as HIAB Crane Tip Control(TM) (CTC), Hiab FrameWorks, and MultiBeam a modular system that provides pre-manufactured, ready-to-install subframes, will also be shown, as well as Hiab’s alternatively powered solutions with HIAB ePTO and its electric MOFFETT range. Visitors can see demonstrations and have Hiab experts educate them on its service and solutions offerings including the new HiConnect productivity service.
On the 22nd and 23rd September, as one of the highlight events, Hiab will seek the unofficial World Crane Champion, from contestants from 15 countries, who have already proven their skills in local pre-qualifications. The contestants will operate a HIAB X-HiPro 232 loader crane installed on a unique supertruck and equipped with CTC, now available for up to six extensions. On the same supertruck Hiab will also have a MULTILIFT hooklift, Hiab Frameworks and Multibeam as well as ePTO and HiConnect. This truck  combination shows Hiab’s dedication to creating top of the line total solutions for business working in, e.g. waste and recycling.
