With a construction market worth more than $250 billion (1), Southeast Asia offers outstanding development potential. From 2017 to 2021, the six countries in the ASEAN zone (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) are expected to enjoy 7.5% annual growth in the construction sector, compared with worldwide growth of 3% (2) over the same period.
Against this promising background, 6-8 September this year will see Bangkok hosting INTERMAT ASEAN, the Southeast Asian trade show for construction and infrastructure and CONCRETE ASIA, the international exhibition for the ASEAN concrete sector.
To efficiently deliver construction projects whilst safeguarding the competitivity of industry firms, it is crucial to promote, create and develop strong synergies between all industry players: building contractors, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and solutions, service providers, order principals, project owners, etc.
INTERMAT ASEAN and CONCRETE ASIA offer a unique platform that brings together everyone from the construction and concrete sectors in a single venue to embody and materialise the vitality of the market: plant and equipment for the materials industry for mining and quarries, earthmoving and civil engineering machinery, solutions and equipment for the concrete sector, lifting and handling, boring and drilling machinery, road building and maintenance machines, accessories, components and spare parts, demolition and recycling equipment, etc.
The trade shows, supported by Thailand’s industry bodies, the Thai Construction Association and the Thai Concrete Association, showcase the latest innovations in response to the region’s requirements. Over the three days of the show, their experts will hold a series of talks and presentations offering advice and insight to market professionals.
To draw maximum benefit from the show, visitors can schedule meetings with exhibitors ahead of the event using a matchmaking service provided free of charge by the organisers. At the last edition, the service facilitated 400 matchings.
A Hosted Buyers Programme combined with networking events during the show: invited top buyers with planned projects and investments will be accommodated by the organisers. They will be offered a schedule of meetings on exhibitors’ stands to make their visit easier and more expedient.
Isabelle Alfano, Director of the COMEXPOSIUM Group Construction Division and Director of INTERMAT, says: “We are confident that holding CONCRETE ASIA and INTERAMT ASEAN together in 2018 will help to deliver the best possible synergies and bring real added value to the event’s local and regional buyers and visitors.”
“INTERMAT ASEAN and CONCRETE ASIA together provide a platform offering the chance to take advantage of the fast-developing building and construction market in Thailand and Southeast Asia,” comments Mr. Loy Joon How, the General Manager of IMPACT.
“INTERMAT ASEAN has been a good platform to showcase our full range of products and reach out to our potential customers.”
Danilo Catalucci, Head of Marketing SEA & Japan, CASE Construction Equipment
